TORRENT Technology
TORRENT Technology is a waterproof breathable technology exclusively from Mossy Oak Apparel that allows you to stay dry and comfortable under even the most extreme conditions. A truly waterproof garment must keep water from getting in, but the garment also needs to allow the body's natural moisture to get out - so a garment must be breathable to be effective. The breathable factor is made possible by tiny pores in the fabric that allow moisture vapor to escape. TORRENT Technology delivers two different levels of waterproof protection:
TORRENT - Garments with Torrent offer high waterproof levels to keep you completely dry during long periods of lower activity and large amounts of precipitation. These activities include a long rainy morning in a treestand, still hunting, walking short distances, and setting up periodically to ambush game.
TORRENT 2 - Torrent 2 delivers total protection from precipitation with an even higher degree of breathability to vent moisture vapor away from the body during periods of high activity. Our unique laminate balances complete defense against the elements and full air circulation to keep you comfortable. The result is gear that is 100% waterproof, windproof, and breathable for any outdoor activity.
VaporTec Technology
VaporTec Technology is a moisture management system from Mossy Oak Apparel with a unique construction that guarantees you are 100% comfortable. VaporTec, an advanced sweat-absorbing, quick-drying technology, expels moisture vapor faster, making you feel cool and comfortable at all times. Fast-drying is guaranteed, so you can wear it right after you wash it. This system allows you to enjoy physical activity and keep optimal body temperature. The performance of this technology is maintained wash after wash.
DYELOCK Technology
DYELOCK Technology is an advanced process of dyeing fabric by Mossy Oak Apparel that allows us to develop fabric that resists the fading of camouflage prints due to washing, exposure to light, and natural wear and tear. The DyeLock process bonds the dyes to the very core of the fabric to create brilliant, crisp prints of camouflage patterns and make them exceptionally resilient to fading. This fabric dye process penetrates the actual fiber rather than just the fabric surface, providing high-quality fade resistance, a darker, richer color, and superior quality with a soft feel to the hand.
THINSULATE
THINSULATE provides garment insulation that is extremely warm without the weight or bulk typically found in other down or polyester products. It is soft, flexible, breathable, and does not lose heat-retaining efficiency when it gets wet. Made by the 3M Company, Thinsulate is a micro-fiber blend of polyolefin and polyester, which is very thin, lightweight, warm, and moisture-resistant. Thinsulate insulation absorbs less than 1% of its weight in water, an important feature for maintaining warmth under damp conditions. Because it is so thin, it provides the warmth of a big jacket in a much less bulky garment.
GORE-TEX
GORE-TEX fabric is specifically engineered to form an impenetrable barrier against wind and water while maintaining breathability. One of the most tested and most trusted windproof, waterproof, breathable fabrics, only GORE-TEX outerwear carries the Guaranteed to Keep You Dry promise.
COOLMAX
COOLMAX is a high-tech synthetic 100% polyester fabric chemically treated to have excellent wicking properties. It has been specifically engineered to keep you dry and comfortable through proprietary four-channel fibers developed by DuPont. When the body perspires, CoolMax moves moisture quickly away from the skin to the outer layer of the fabric. It then dries that moisture faster than any other fabric. CoolMax has the fastest drying rate, the quickest and most efficient movement of moisture away from the skin, and the best breathability on the market. Garments made with CoolMax fabrics are washable, dryable, and stay soft and non-chafing. They also resist shrinking, odors and mildew.
DUPONT TEFLON
DUPONT TEFLON is a protective coating that shields fabrics from water, dust, and soil. It's undetectable by sight, smell, or touch and does not change the look, feel, or breathability of the base fabric. This fluorochemical finish works by forming a molecular barrier around the individual fibers and lowering the critical surface tension of the fabric so it does not attract water, stains, or soils.
HOLLOFIL II
This high-loft insulation made by DuPont offers performance and value. Designed to be compact and soft, yet resilient and refluffable. HOLLOFIL II provides: increased warmth through four-hole fibers that trap more air; softer insulation that conforms to body shape for greater comfort; machine washable/dryable and non-allergenic.
WRIGHTSOCK Double Layer
The Anti-Blister System is a patented double-layer technology that absorbs friction between the layers, transports moisture away from the foot, reduces heat on the foot, and eliminates blisters. Friction, moisture, and heat cause blisters. The WRIGHTSOCK Anti-Blister System prevents these causes with the following features:
The WRIGHTSOCK Double Layer products each consist of two separate layers. The layers are totally separate allowing movement between the two. This movement between the two layers of the sock replaces what would be movement between your foot and an ordinary sock. By allowing this movement within the sock layers, the friction is absorbed and the foot receives much less, if any, friction.
The inner layer of all WRIGHTSOCK Double Layer products consists of CoolMax, a four-channel fiber that wicks moisture away from the foot. As it moves moisture away, the moisture is allowed to spread out over the four channels, giving it a larger area from which to evaporate. Therefore, the Double Layer product keeps feet dry... eliminating moisture.
Heat is a product of friction on the foot. As the foot rubs against an ordinary sock, heat builds up on the foot. By absorbing the friction between the two layers of a WRIGHTSOCK Double Layer sock, the heat is eliminated against the foot.
